FAQ for In-Season Training

Have a question that is not answered below? Fill out the form above to ask!

  • You should expect to better understand the key components of scoring and have a better framework for what is needed to lower your handicap. Measurable change to your handicap will be determined by how well you embrace and implement the concepts from the program. With that said, over the course of a year, players in previous seasons lowered their handicap by 3.75 strokes.

If you are in the 10 – 20 handicap range you should expect around 5 strokes lost and if you are in the 0 – 10 range expect 1 – 2 strokes lost.

  • Players who have a handicap below 20 are best suited for the program. Most players have previously had some instruction on technical skills and are looking for a more holistic coaching approach which yields measurable improvements to the their play on the golf course.

  • There are typically 3-4 players in each training group. The players in the group will be fairly consistent, but you may often see players from other training groups on certain weeks.

  • The goal of the program is to get your skills to show up when you play golf. Rarely do you ever play golf alone and thus the presence of other players better represents the psychological demands of the game of golf. Having others to train with also allows players to engage in competition when training - this will further help players build mental and emotional skill sets that will help transfer skills from the range to the golf course.

  • All coaching sessions are 2 hours long. On-Course sessions are nine holes at The Harvest Golf Club. All players are encouraged to arrive early to warm up prior to the sessions.

  • On-Course Sessions: Monday’s at 4:00pm

    Off-Course Sessions: Monday’s at 3:30pm, Wednesday at 11:30am, Thursday’s at 9:00am, 11:30am & 3:30pm

Coach Jeff will work to propose a training group which best suits your availability and skill level.

  • Your first session will be a 9 hole on-course evaluation which will help Coach Jeff better understand your strengths and weaknesses. In tandem with the player providing stats from at minimum three rounds, Coach Jeff will then put together an individual training plan for the given phase which will be executed over a 3 month period.

  • Absolutely! Players will be provided balls to warm up with and stay after the session if desired.

  • No. All associated green fees are built into the program fees for the given phase.

  • All payments will go through The Harvest Golf Club with a credit card. Coach Jeff will provide you a form to fill out at the start of the program. If you have a Harvest member account, program fees can be charged to this account.
